Where do our graduates work?

The curriculum is structured so that students consistently acquire theoretical knowledge while learning and applying related skills. The strong focus on skill training in combination with a thorough discussion of the effects of culture and intercultural contact on three levels of analysis (individual, intragroup, and intergroup), makes this master unique and opens up a broad range of employment sectors including:

  • Research institutions (e.g., conducting cross-cultural research among ethnic minorities).
  • International companies or organizations (e.g., providing culturally fair assessments, training intercultural competence, managing diversity).
  • The educational sector (e.g., multicultural education).
  • Non-governmental/non-profit organizations (e.g., developing, monitoring, and evaluating culturally sensitive interventions).
  • Municipalities or governmental organizations (e.g., advising on migration-related issues).
  • Mental health sector (e.g., as intercultural coach or counselor).
