Friday 10 October | 13:30-15:00 | CREA Theaterzaal
Please note: this session is in Dutch.
In the documentary, two lecturers and two students from the 1980s are interviewed. They share the story of the unprecedented changes in medical education, the move to the AMC that made this possible, and the impact it had on students and student life at the time. Featured are Professor Lennart Bouman, Senior Lecturer Dr Cisca Griffioen, and Guido’s contemporaries Marcel Levi and Tom Kreuning. Levi later became, among other roles, director of the AMC and gained national recognition in the Netherlands during the COVID-19 pandemic. The film also incorporates extensive archival footage, including material from an 8mm film Frankfurther made during his student days.
After the screening, Guido Frankfurther and filmmaker Petra van Lint will engage in a conversation with the audience, offering an opportunity to share memories.
Petra van Lint
Petra van Lint is a filmmaker at the production company Happy4film, an investigative journalist with a camera, and a film lecturer at the Netherlands Film Academy. She is also active in the Waterland municipal council.
