Dr MW Hollman (b. 1968) has been appointed professor of Experimental Anesthesiology at the Faculty of Medicine of the Universiteit van Amsterdam (UvA). Hollman has also been appointed president of the department of Experimental and Clincial Experimental Anesthesiology of the Academic Medical Center (AMC-UvA).

Hollman has been working at the department of Experimental and Clincial Experimental Anesthesiology of the Academic Medical Center (AMC-UvA) as senior university lecturer since 2005. Previously he worked, among other things, as senior university lecturer Anesthesiology at Universität Heidelberg. Hollman also worked at the anesthesiology departments of the university hospitals of Münster and Maastricht, and as visiting professor of the anesthesiology department of the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center (Denver, VS). He is a member of several societies in the field of anesthesiology, and of the editorial board of several anesthesiological journals.
