The UvA’s success depends on our employees and their unique knowledge, talents and motivation. This means that the university must and will strive to make working at the UvA as attractive, challenging and safe as possible. In order to remain meaningful in the future as a university for all UvA employees, HRM has elaborated the ambitions from the UvA 2021-2026 Institution Plan ‘Inspiring Generations’ in an HR Manifesto.

The HR Manifesto focuses on the future of working at the UvA. Robert Grem, director of HRM: 'We arrived at the manifesto using a design method. An innovative and inspiring process, in which a programme group made up of colleagues from across the organisation reflected on the future of working at the UvA.  We focused on the question which developments are headed our way both inside and outside the UvA and how the UvA must respond if we want to retain our talent and continue to attract new talent. This has led to a powerful manifesto that will be the compass for HR policy in the coming years.'
