You have secured a PhD position and are about to begin your research. At the start of your doctoral journey, it is important to arrange a number of matters.

Once you have started

  • All PhD candidates must submit a request for admission to the doctoral programme.
  • Do you not hold a recognised and accredited Dutch Master’s degree? If so, you must submit an exemption from the educational requirement.
  • Would you like to pursue a joint doctorate? Ensure that the collaboration agreement is signed.

Admission request

All PhD candidates are required to submit a request for admission. The following will be determined:

  • Which faculty your PhD falls under
  • Who your supervisors will be (you will have a minimum of two supervisors: two principal supervisors or one principal supervisor and one co-supervisor.

Submit your request for admission using the form.
