Protest against higher education cuts on June 10

On Tuesday, June 10, the FNV, AOb, and WOinActie are organizing a strike against budget cuts in higher education in Amsterdam from 12:00. The UvA supports the aim of this protest: it concerns the future of our university.

Would you like to participate?

You don't have to take a day off for this. However, if you wish to formally register your absence, it will be classified as special leave. Your salary will not be affected.

Important:

  • Announce to your students in advance whether or not lectures will take place. For large classes with multiple tutorials, please coordinate with the teaching management/OWI director to ensure consistency for all students.
  • Scheduled exams, patient care and practicals will continue as planned. If you are unable to participate, try to find a solution in consultation with your supervisor.
  • For students, apart from exams (clinical) practicals, attendance on 10 June is not mandatory. Lectures will not be rescheduled.
