We often think of transitions as a process from A to B(etter), while in practice transitions (fortunately) rarely unfold so clearly. Ammy Vogtlander approaches transitions from the perspective of complexity theory and explains why continuous dynamics, volatility and even chaos are not only inevitable, but in fact form the key to a sustainable future. Using inspiring examples from nature and economics, she outlines the building blocks for a future-proof society.
