Research shows that we have breached the safe and just boundaries of the Earth system. This has caused significant harm to both people and nature, while we are still failing to meet the basic needs of people around the world. The news reflects a world falling apart. Countries are increasingly choosing their own short-term interests. Inequality is growing. This is a recipe for system failure – or worse, the collapse of our civilisation.
What do we need? A global constitution. A constitution for the people and all other inhabitants of the Earth.
