The Supervisory Board of Amsterdam University Press (AUP) has appointed Ms Claudia Zuidema as interim director of AUP with immediate effect to safeguard its current publishing and marketing activities. Zuidema is an experienced director/publisher in the fields of (online) trade and scholarly publications, and has worked in the publishing sector for more than twenty years. She replaces Saskia de Vries who, until recently, ran AUP.

The UvA considers AUP to be a valuable asset to the University. AUP is one of the most innovative university publishers in Europe, with a strong focus on the opportunities that Open Access has to offer both now and in the future.
