The Supervisory Board of Amsterdam University Press (AUP) has appointed Jan-Peter Wissink as the new director of AUP. He will take up his position on 1 October 2012. Until that time, Claudia Zuidema will serve as interim director of AUP.

The Supervisory Board of Amsterdam University Press (AUP) has appointed Jan-Peter Wissink as the new director of AUP. He will take up his position on 1 October 2012. Until that time, Claudia Zuidema will serve as interim director of AUP.

Wissink is currently the publishing director of T & T Clark and Berlin Academic - both imprints of Bloomsbury Publishing. He has more than twenty years of national and international experience in the publishing industry, ranging from specialised English scientific publications to general trade publications in Dutch.

The University of Amsterdam considers AUP as a valuable part of the university. AUP is one of the most innovative and prominent university publishers in Europe, with a strong focus on the potential offered by Open Access publishing.
