Prof. Dr. E.H. (Edith) Hooge (1967) is full professor Education Policy and Governance at the Faculty of Social and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Amsterdam. Prior to this appointment, Hooge was professor Boards and Governance in Education at TIAS, Tilburg University.
Her board positons included: President of the Excecutive Board of the UvA, President of the Education Council, the independent advisory board for government and parliament and President of the Police Education Council.
Hooge studied Educational Science at the University of Amsterdam, and obtained her PhD at the UvA in 1998 for research into increasing autonomy and deregulation in education.
