  • About

    Steve Jankowski is a Lecturer in New Media and Digital Culture at the University of Amsterdam and Principal Investigator of the Slow Editing Towards Equity research funded by the Wikimedia Foundation.  He received his PhD in Communication and Culture from York University and X University in Canada for his dissertation on Wikipedian consensus and the political design of encyclopedic media. He also holds a MA in Communication from the University of Ottawa and an Honours Bachelors of Design from the York \ Sheridan Design Program. His research examines the intersections between digital culture, design and their connections to imaginaries of democracy and knowledge.
