Monika Kackovic is an Associate Professor and coordinator of the MSc BA Entrepreneurship and Innovation in the Creative Industries (EMCI) program at the University of Amsterdam Business School. She also teaches in this program, namely the Theories of Entrepreneurship and Management in the Cultural Industries, Strategic Marketing and Management in the Creative Industries, and Cultural Entrepreneurship and Innovation. In academic research, she integrates insights from business science and computational social science to understand better the dynamics of creativity, entrepreneurship, innovation, and success in the cultural and creative industries. Her work has been published in the International Journal of Research in Marketing, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, and ACM Multi-Media; it has also been featured in a number of popular press outlets, such as Boekman. Monika received her MSc (cum laude) and Ph.D. from the University of Amsterdam, Faculty of Economics and Business. She also graduated from a prestigious visual arts school and remains active as a visual artist and consultant in the arts and culture sector.
