As a collection specialist at the University Library, I'm responsible for developing, maintaining, and presenting the library's collections. I also work as Library Liaison for the Faculty of Humanities. In this role, I'm the point of contact for more detailed information or coordination of library services. I contribute ideas on how library services can be better aligned with education and research, incorporating feedback and ideas from the faculty into the library.
I have a background in Arabic studies and linguistics. Besides my work at the University Library, I am a PhD candidate in Arabic Sociolinguistics at the Institut National des Langues et des Civilisations Orientales (INALCO) in Paris. My dissertation deals with language variation and change as resulting from long term dialect contact among Palestinians in the Lebanese capital, Beirut.
