'There are only a few universities worldwide that offer a MSc in Artificial Intelligence, the University of Amsterdam being one of them. I first found out all about the programme on the web and was triggered by the quality of the education Artificial Intelligence at the UvA offers. During my Master's I specialized in Machine learning and web information processing. Those were the topics that appealed to me most.'
'The relationships between student and professors are here very different than in Iran. The way you can connect with professors was very new to me. Professors are approachable and not only act as professors, but also as friends. This is not something that happens in my home country.'
'Amsterdam has many international students which makes you feel very much at home. It is difficult to find a room, but the university helped me out a lot. I now live in a room near Science Park and only twenty minutes to the city centre by bike. To live on my own is an enriching experience. In Iran 90% of the students lives with their family.'
