Interview with PIL graduate Joaquim Roodheuvel
‘After completing the Public International Law Master at the University of Amsterdam in 2016, I decided to pursue another Master's degree at the University of Cambridge. In Cambridge, I took further classes in international investment law and the law on the use of force.
After completing my LL.M in Cambridge, I returned to Amsterdam to start working at the De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek, a corporate law firm in. I have been with De Brauw for a few years now, where I mainly work in the field of international commercial and international investment arbitration.
Even with a background in public international law, it is therefore possible to work at a corporate law firm like De Brauw. In fact, I am able to very regularly put into practice what I have learned at both the UvA and the University of Cambridge.’
