On Tuesday, 3 September, the UvA's Alumni Network Conservation and Restoration will be launched. Both the board and the future plans for those who want to join the network and participate will be introduced.
The Alumni Network Conservation and Restoration is meant for alumni of the two-year Master and the two-year Post-Master Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage at the UvA. In addition, alumni of the former ICN and SRAL training programmes are welcome to join. Since the inception of these programmes, the number of alumni has steadily grown and an academic conservation community has been established. Alumni have a broad variety of backgrounds and nationalities and have found their positions worldwide. The Alumni Network Conservation and Restoration aims to facilitate contact in order to stay connected and to consolidate the conservation and restoration network between alumni and the programme, the students, and current and former lecturers.
The launch of the Alumni Network Conservation and Restoration will take place on 3 September, from 17:30-19:30, at the Johannes Vermeerplein 1, 1071 DV Amsterdam.
All alumni are welcome to celebrate and join membership, including those who have concluded the former training programme at ICN and SRAL.
If you are an alumnus of the two-year Master and the two-year Post-Master Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage at the UvA, or of the former ICN and SRAL training programmes, you can join the Alumni Network. As a member, you will enjoy the benefits of a membership of the UvA Alumni Association (AUV) and can attend events specifically organised by and for members of the Alumni Network Conservation and Restoration. You will also receive an AUV card, which offers exclusive services and discounts at university facilities and cultural partners in Amsterdam. Read more about the benefits of joining the AUV on the Alumni Association AUV page.
