With their new ideas and technologies the nine finalists offer innovative solutions for a wide range of social issues. The UvA finalists, both of FNWI, are Arnon Lesage and Floris Roelofsen.
This 15th edtion the finalists will pitch their innovations and compete for not one, but three Innovation Awards. Each winner in one of the categories Environment & Climate, Health, and Society will receive € 10.000,00, to bring their idea a step closer to application. Audience is welcom to attend the finale at NEMO Science, or at online home, and witness exciting new ideas, which are sure to have a positive impact on society.
For over 15 years this competition celebrates research-based idea’s and innovations with a social and/or commercial application. Throughout the years many researchers took the stage to inspire colleagues, students and the public. AmSIA stimulates bringing science outside academia and into the world.
But that’s not all, Innovation Exchange Amsterdam (IXA) – the universities Knowledge Transfer Office and AmSIA’s host, will honor researchers with an Impact Award for their significant impact on society with their impressive innovations and research projects. This years receivers will be announced later this month.
