Cinti won the prize for the essay 'On entanglement as a relation' that he wrote together with Alberto Corti and Marco Sanchioni and that was published in the European Journal of Philosophy of Science. The essay characterizes the notion of entanglement that plays an important role in quantum mechanics as an external relation between multiple quantum degrees of freedom.

The Graduate Student Essay Prize was awarded at the biannial EPSA conference which this year took place in Belgrade in September. The award is given for the most engaging paper published in the European Journal of Philosophy of Science by a graduate student, and comes with €500 in prize money.
