What is this programme about?

Students and lecturers explain what you can expect from the Advanced LLM International Tax Law and what your career opportunities are after graduation. Students also talk about why they chose to study at the University of Amsterdam and what they like about the programme.

The study programme

The Advanced LLM in International Tax Law is a full-time programme. This one year programme curriculum covers both the established framework of international tax law and emerging issues. A fundamental premise is that a proper understanding of this area of the law requires studying both the ‘big picture’ and the technicalities. Throughout the curriculum, a large focus is placed on practical case studies and technical meetings. Through your choice of elective courses and thesis topic, it is possible to obtain a specialisation in Transfer Pricing and Value Added Tax Law.

‘The programme requires active participation on behalf of the students: your daily schedule as a student will be diverse and will include (almost) daily classes, participation in seminars, study group discussions but also research for your thesis.
