Application process
The application process consists of 7 steps.
-
1. Check the entry requirements
The Admissions Office will evaluate your eligibility based on 3 criteria:
- Secondary school diploma
- English proficiency
- Mathematics proficiency
-
2. Register in Studielink
Studielink is the national online registration system for students who would like to pursue a degree programme at a Dutch university. All students who would like to apply to a programme at the UvA need to register in Studielink first.
-
3. Check your personal enrolment checklist in SIS
After registering in Studielink, you will receive your UvAnetID. This will give you access to check the status of your personal enrolment Checklist. There you find the subsequent steps that you need to take in order to complete your enrolment.
-
3. Submit your online application in SIS 'My Applications'
In order to check if you are eligible for the programme you need to upload and submit your documents in ‘My applications’. Do not forget to keep an eye on the deadlines!
Students with an international secondary school diploma in combination with a HBO-P can skip this step.
-
5. Wait for the admission results
You will receive your (conditional) results within 4-6 weeks after you submitted a fully completed application form. The earlier you apply, the sooner you will know the outcome.
-
6. Participate in UvA Matching
UvA Matching is an online introduction to the Bachelor’s programme. It is designed to assess whether the programme is a good fit for you.
-
7. Pay the tuition fee
Your tuition fee needs to be credited to the UvA’s bank account 1 day before your degree programme starts at the latest, so 31 August for a September start.
After admission
Once you are admitted, follow the instructions provided by the department or programme staff about visa, housing, practical matters and further enrolment at the University.
