This programme will provide you with opportunities to apply Brain & Cognition concepts and methods, and statistically assess (changes in) behaviour and cognitive functioning. You will also gain practical skills such as writing and presenting.
  • Semester 1

    In the first mandatory course, Brain and Mind in Business and Society you will apply your understanding of Brain & Cognition research in several domains.

    The second mandatory course, Applied Experimental Skills in Brain and Cognition  focuses on experimental skills and methods used in the field of Brain and Cognition. 

    In the third mandatory course, Real World Case Studies in Brain and Cognition, you will apply the theoretical knowledge and practical skills obtained in the first two courses to answer questions raised in cases from business, governmental and/or societal organisations.  

  • Semester 2

    From January to June, you will work on the two large graduation assignments, Master's Thesis Brain and Cognition in Society and the Master's Internship Brain and Cognition in Society: the final academic masterpieces. You will show your ability to apply academic knowledge and skills acquired during the master's track to a real-world research question. Students are trained to have a professional attitude, and address an applied research question in the field of Brain and Cognition in an independent and proactive manner.

  • Workload

    In this Master’s track you will be working together with your fellow students on different tasks and assignments throughout the different courses. In addition to this there are weekly lectures and tutorials. 

    • Lectures: 6 hours per week
    • Tutorials: 6 hours per week  
    • Self-study: 28 hours per week
