If you choose to come by car, you can park in public parking spaces. Please note that availability may be limited and parking fees apply.
Parking for visitors with a physical disability
- Visitors with a physical disability can use designated parking spaces at several UvA locations, including Hogehilweg, Roeterseiland, BG1 and BG2. A valid European Disability Parking Permit (GPK) is required. Please inform your UvA contact in advance so that arrangements can be made.
- If the location has no private parking facilities, you may park for free with a GPK in public disabled parking spaces in Amsterdam (Dutch only). In some cases, pavement parking is also allowed—provided you follow the municipality’s regulations (Dutch only). A disabled resident parking permit issued by the City of Amsterdam allows you to park for free throughout the city in areas where paid parking normally applies.
