The UvA is currently running a pilot to make the application process easier for applicants who have or will obtain an International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma before 31 August 2024.

Applicants who meet the criteria below and who have indicated in Studielink that they have or will obtain an IB diploma while submitting their request for enrolment, no longer have to submit an application file in the application portal SIS to have their previous education assessed by the Central Admissions Office. These applicants are therefore also exempted from paying the application fee. Eligible students now only have to request the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) to send us the digital results of their IB diploma no later than 31 August 2024.

Next steps

As an IB student you need to request the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) to send us the digital results of your IB diploma as soon as possible. We need to verify your diploma no later than 31 August 2024. We do not need any other documents or a resume from you.

If you will obtain your IB diploma in the academic year of 2023-2024, please use one of the following services for your final IB Diploma Programme results to be sent directly to the University of Amsterdam.

Before the release of results

If you make a request before July 2024 (for May examination sessions) or January 2024 (for November examination sessions), you should contact your Diploma Programme coordinator to submit a request to IBO on your behalf for your results to be sent directly to the University of Amsterdam. The University of Amsterdam IB institute code is: 000602.

For more information, please visit the IBO website.

After the release of results

After July 2024 (for May examination sessions) or January 2024 (for November examination sessions), IB graduates can request for their results to be sent directly to the University of Amsterdam using the form on https://rrs.ibo.org.

Graduates from previous years

If you have already obtained your IB diploma in a previous year, please request the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) to send us the digital results of your IB diploma as soon as possible and before 31 August 2024. If you have already done so before, please notify us through the Central Student Service Desk.

Certified hard copies

Although the University of Amsterdam prefers to verify your IB results digitally, it is also possible to send us certified hard copies of your IB diploma document and IB programme results document via regular mail.

What is a certified copy?
