Taster Week

Get to know our Bachelor's programmes

Want to know what it's like to study at the UvA? Join the Taster Week! From 2-13 December you can get to know various Bachelor's programmes by joining taster sessions. Taster sessions are the best way to experience a university programme in person.

Information in Dutch

Three reasons to join a taster session

  1. Attend a lecture, seminar or practical training with other prospective students. This is a great way to get to know the Bachelor’s programme that you’re interested in.

  2. You’ll get to visit the campus and get a feel for student life at the UvA.

  3. After the Taster Week, you’ll know whether the UvA and the Bachelor’s you’re interested in are the right fit for you.

Practical information

  • Taster sessions take place on a weekday, which means you will need to request leave from school in order to attend.
  • It is helpful to have already attended a Bachelor’s Day, which provides more general information about Bachelor’s programmes (about admissions and the study programme) as this won’t be covered during the taster sessions.
  • The Taster Week is aimed specifically at prospective students. Your guardian or parent cannot attend the taster session with you.

FAQS

Do you have questions about the Taster Week? Check our Taster Week FAQs. If you can’t find the answer online, you can ask Central Student Service Desk.

Alternative: Student for a day

Is there no taster session for the Bachelor's programme in which you're interested? You can also become a student for a day and discover what it is like to study at the UvA. You will spend part of a day with a current student, attending a lecture or practical training and visiting the campus.
