Office of International Student Affairs

The Office of International Student Affairs (BIS) is the central international office of the UvA and is situated at the Roeterseiland Campus. 

The office provides support and oversight for various aspects of international student affairs.

It oversees and manages global student mobility, facilitates (international) student engagement including the award-winning Cultural Exchange Ambassador Programme, administers and disburses student scholarships and loans and collaborate with academic units and faculty international offices to cultivate and build strategic partnerships and collaborations around the world.

International visit request form

Arranging an official visit
Intending official visitors are asked to complete the International Visit Request Form at least six weeks prior to the intended visit date. The Office of International Student Affairs will then liaise within the University of Amsterdam (UvA) and advise the sender of the outcome of the request. Please note, the UvA is unable to service all requests.
