10-12 June 2026 | Amsterdam, Netherlands
The Staff Week will offer a combination of thematic sessions, knowledge sharing between partner universities, and interactive networking, with a strong focus on strengthening existing partnerships.
The Staff Week aims to strengthen and deepen existing Erasmus+ partnerships, facilitate meaningful knowledge exchange and professional development, encourage collaboration on concrete Erasmus+ activities and projects, and provide space for interaction, networking, and peer learning.
The programme emphasises dialogue, interaction, and shared experiences rather than one-way presentations, creating a practical and collaborative environment in which partners can translate ideas into concrete Erasmus+ actions. Attention will be paid to ensuring opportunities for follow-up and continued collaboration after the Staff Week.
This Erasmus Staff Week is intended for:
Participation is primarily aimed at existing UvA Erasmus+ partners, with limited space for institutions that are in an advanced stage of partnership development with the UvA.
The programme will focus on core themes relevant to current and future Erasmus+ cooperation, such as:
Themes will be determined based on applicants' interests and availability of speakers. Sessions will combine UvA perspectives with partner experiences, allowing participants to exchange best practices and explore opportunities for joint initiatives.
Active partner participation is a key element of this Staff Week. Participants will be invited to:
The programme highlights several distinctive aspects of the University of Amsterdam, including its decentralised faculty structure, faculty visits with direct engagement with our international office(r)s, insight into the lottery-based exchange allocation system, and the unique urban campus setting with its historic and modern buildings.
Students will also be involved — sharing their experiences as exchange students from partner institutions, acting as campus guides, or participating as discussion partners. Interactive and social elements will be integrated throughout the programme, such as icebreakers, campus-based activities, informal networking moments, and daily feedback moments to reflect on learning outcomes and takeaways.
You can find the flyer of Erasmus Staff Week which includes the indicative programme below. The precise times and topics will be determined later and shared with the participants in advance.
A minimum of ten (10) participants is required for the Staff Week to be carried out. Please forward this information to staff members who might be interested in joining.
To support sustainable collaboration, participants will be invited to a follow-up moment after the Staff Week, allowing partners to reconnect, share progress, and explore next steps in Erasmus+ cooperation.
We look forward to welcoming you to Amsterdam in June 2026.
