Contribute your talents, enhance your skills

We are looking for motivated students who are passionate about helping others. Throughout the year, we offer a variety of ways to connect with prospective students, such as via the Unibuddy chat platform, webinars, (virtual) open campus days, or through content creation (blogs/vlogs/social media posts). These are all great ways to further develop existing skills or to try something new!

What is expected of you?

You can expect to spend approximately 2–3 hours per week on ambassador activities.

Your main responsibility is to support prospective students through our Unibuddy chat platform by sharing your experiences and answering their questions.

In addition, ambassadors also contribute to a variety of activities throughout the year, such as:

• Providing campus tours to prospective students and school counselors at Open Days.
• Participating in live and online Q&A sessions in Bachelor’s and Master’s Week.
• Creating content (blogs, vlogs and Insta stories) for our social media channels to share insight on what student life is like at the UvA.

Important to know:

• The student ambassadors position is a volunteer position.
• Ambassadors join the team for a complete period of one academic year, starting in October and concluding the following summer. It's also possible to extend the role for another year.

Why become an ambassador?

As a Student Ambassador, you become a part of a dynamic community of international students who work together to support prospective students. The role offers opportunities to:

• Connect with fellow ambassadors.
• Receive training and support throughout the year.
• Make a meaningful contribution to the experience of future UvA students.
• Develop skills and gain experience in public speaking, content creation, and student engagement.

Become a FMG Master Unibuddy Ambassador!

Are you currently enrolled in a Master's programme at the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences (FMG)? Would you like to help prospective students get to know the University of Amsterdam (UvA) and your programme? Then become an FMG Master's Unibuddy Ambassador!

We are looking for enthusiastic and engaged FMG master students who are willing to answer questions from prospective students via the Unibuddy chat platform for one academic year. Students use Unibuddy to ask about topics such as the programme, the university, campus atmosphere and student life. Who better to answer those questions than someone who is experiencing it firsthand?

As a Unibuddy Ambassador, you'll share your personal experiences, help prospective students make informed study choices, and receive compensation for your time and effort.
