Contribute your talents, enhance your skills

We are looking for motivated students who are passionate about helping others. Throughout the year, we offer a variety of ways to connect with prospective students, such as via an online chat platform, at webinars, at (virtual) open campus days, or through content creation (blogs/vlogs/social media posts). These are all great ways to further develop existing skills or to try something new!

Why become an ambassador?

As a student ambassador you become a part of a community of international students who make up a dynamic team, working together to help guide prospective students. This role is a great way to contribute to the student community at the UvA by informing interested students about the UvA and your experiences.

What is expected of you? 

Each week you will spend approximately 2-3 hours on the following activities:

• Assist prospective international students by answering questions on our chat platform.
• Create content (blogs, vlogs and Insta stories) for our social media channels to share insight on what student life is like at the UvA.
• Participate in live and online Q&A sessions.
• Provide campus tours to prospective students and school counselors at open campus days.
• Be part of a feedback panel for the UvA student website.
• Help us gain insight from your perspective as a student here in Amsterdam.

Important to know:

• The student ambassadors position is a volunteer position. In exchange, you will receive training to help develop or enhance your networking and professional skills.
• Ambassadors join the team for a complete period of one academic year, starting in October and concluding the following summer. It's also possible to extend the role for another year.

How to apply

The deadline for applying was Wednesday 10 September, 2025. Next summer 2026 you can apply again to become an ambassador.
