Ichiro is currently studying at Osaka YMCA International School in Japan. He previously completed the Pre-University Honours Programme in International Relations, which he greatly enjoyed. Inspired by that experience, he later joined the Pre-University Honours Programme: Key Topics in Political Science winter school in 2025 to further deepen his understanding of politics. According to Ichiro, the most memorable part of the programme was a case study in which he “analyzed different actors and their stakes in a politically unstable situation, examining their positions, interests, needs, problems, tools of power, and willingness to negotiate with others.” Ichiro recommends the programme to anyone interested in gaining a broad introduction to the world of politics.
