Expenses

The costs are €100 per credit (EC), including exams.
Literature, travel expenses, etc. are not included in the course fee.
You will receive a bank transfer for the entire amount from the Financial Department. Payment in instalments is possible in particular cases.

Cancellation policy

It is possible that you won’t be able to participate in the course due to circumstances. The following rules apply to cancellation:
1. Cancellations can only be made in writing before the start of the course. After the start of the course, restitution is no longer possible.
2. Cancellation must always take place in writing. Verbal cancellation must always be followed by a written cancellation. In the absence of a written cancellation, the full course fee will be charged.
3. In case of cancellation, an administration fee of € 50 will be charged.
4. A written cancellation must be sent by e-mail to: openuva-sw@uva.nl
5. If the payment term hasn’t been met, the lecturer may refuse you access to the course. In that case the UvA reserves the right to claim the outstanding amount.

Some courses have a maximum number of participants, with regular students being given priority. In exceptional cases, we have to cancel the participation of Open UvA students. In case of cancellation on our part, you will of course receive a refund of your registration fee. In that case, no administration fee will be charged.
