Program

Research on ICT in healthcare is growing rapidly. At the same time, it is becoming increasingly important to be able to assess the effectiveness of these applications. In this course, you will develop the knowledge and skills to critically evaluate research on healthcare IT and to design your own studies using common quantitative and qualitative research methods within Health Informatics.

Course Details

This course is offered entirely through e-learning. The study programme provides clear weekly deadlines to complete the course within 8 weeks, but you also have the option to progress at your own pace, either faster or slower. In addition, you will work on assignments both individually and in groups with fixed deadlines.

Assessment consists of a written assignment, a subsequent oral defense, and an exam. The exam is administered online, with an option for students to take it onsite at Amsterdam UMC (AMC location) upon request.

Course materials and assignments can be followed in either Dutch or English.

You can cancel your registration free of charge until the start of the course. After the start of the course, refunds are no longer possible.

Funding

In the Netherlands, professionals who live and work in the country can apply for a loan for the program fee through the Lifelong Learning Credit (Levenlanglerenkrediet) at the Education Executive Agency (DUO).
