Program

In healthcare organizations, ICT is a strategic tool that is directly linked to the design and quality of core clinical processes. Healthcare professionals are therefore increasingly involved in decision-making about information systems and are part of information management structures.

In this course, you will learn the terminology, methods, and options that are important for IT decision-making (IT governance) and strategic information management. You will develop the knowledge and skills needed to take on an advisory and leading role in implementing strategic information management.

Course details

This course is offered entirely through e-learning, allowing you to set your own pace for studying the theory. In addition, you will work on assignments both individually and in groups with fixed deadlines.

Assessment consists of a written assignment and a subsequent oral defense. Course materials and assignments are available in both Dutch and English. Most of the literature is in English.
