The Summer Institute on Governance & Inclusive Development is an intensive two-weeks post-graduate course. There will be morning and afternoon sessions for all participants from Monday to Friday, including two excursions.

One excursion to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in The Hague. We will be visiting the Department Sustainable Economic Development with a Presentation on the Practice of Policymaking.

The other excursion will be to UTZ-Certified in Amsterdam. Henk Gilhuis wil be hosting us and showing us around UTZ-Certified. UTZ-certrified UTZ Certified stands for sustainable farming and better opportunities for farmers, their families and our planet. The UTZ program enables farmers to learn better farming methods, improve working conditions and take better care of their children and the environment.

They work with brands to certify their products. UTZ offers brands the possibility to track and trace the coffee, cocoa and tea, from the shelf in the store to the farmer. The UTZ logo ensures that your favorite brand supports sustainable farming.
