The European Spa Project has launched the podcast 'A Virtual Journey Through European Spas'. This podcast, designed as a virtual journey through European spas in the broadest sense from Belgium all the way to the Caucasus, was prompted by our current coronavirus pandemic, so that we can pass the time with literary imaginations now that physical travel is not possible.

Even after the end of this pandemic, travel and health resorts will be different. Take the idea of the spa as a 'transnational meeting place', which the research project is particularly concerned with. How will it be shaped in the face of travel restrictions, closed or semi-open borders and norms of social distancing?

You can now listen to the first episode of this podcast, 'Travel and Arrival':

The next episode of the podcast will deal with spa society, its amusements, affairs, antagonisms and entanglements. Stay tuned!
