Business Administration (MSc)

February start

Do you have an entrepreneurial and global mindset? And are you eager to start an international career in business? The University of Amsterdam Business School is one of the few institutions in the Netherlands where you can start your Master’s in Business Administration in February as well as in September. Choose 1 of 3 tracks and learn to analyse complex organisational issues and design effective solutions.

Solve complex business issues

How should businesses respond to the opportunities of new technology, digital marketing and globalisation? Why are some start-ups successful in developing new products and markets while others are not?

To solve such complex business issues, you need specialist knowledge and the ability to collaborate with other disciplines. We train you to study current research literature and subsequently apply that know-how to problems that companies face today.

Connect with the business world

This Master’s offers you the possibility to focus on the international aspects of business and management. And prepare for your career by solving real-world case studies presented by our corporate partners, such as ING, L’Oréal, Vodafone, Ahold Delhaize, VandeBron and Google.

Strong international focus

MSc Business Administration, Amsterdam Business School

Doing business internationally is reflected in all parts of our course design.

Be prepared to team up with fellow students from all over the world, which offers you the opportunity to widen your perspective and have an extraordinary learning experience. What about career opportunities?

The February-start programme

You can tailor the programme to your needs and interests.

  • Choose from 3 tracks
    1. International Business
Learn about the challenges multinationals face when doing business abroad and help them make the right choices.
    2. Digital Marketing
Explore the impact of the digitised business environment on marketing processes and customer value creation. And help organisations benefit from digital technology.
    3. Consumer Marketing
Gain an in-depth understanding of consumer characteristics and help organisations improve their marketing through better consumer insight.
  • Inspiring kick-off in Royal Theatre Carré

You will kick off your studies with 'UvA in Carré', a series of inspirational seminars featuring prominent speakers from leading companies such as ING, L’Oréal, Vodafone, Ahold Delhaize, VandeBron and Google. They will present their visions on current business issues and share their insights and experiences.

  • Choose your electives from our Business Lab

  • Thesis

The Master’s thesis is the final requirement for your graduation. It is your chance to dive deep into a topic that you are enthusiastic about. A professor in your field of choice (track) will supervise and support you in writing your thesis.

Upon graduation, you will be awarded the title Master of Science (MSc).

  • Internship and exchange

Once you have completed your curriculum, you will have the possibility of doing an internship or going on an exchange abroad. Both for Dutch and international students, an internship is an excellent opportunity to experience the Dutch labour market.
