In this Master's track you will gain knowledge about human behaviour from psychology and how the brain works and selects information from neuroscience. You learn how to use this knowledge when solving societal issues (such as climate change and inequality), or problems in businesses, politics, work, or life in general. The teachers have a track record in both business and academia, giving you hands-on experience in using behavioural science to influence what people think, say and do. So that in the end, you can change the way the world is running.

Brain & Cognition in Society

What happens in society is in the end all caused by human behaviour. Whether it's about the way we behave towards one another or how business are trying to sell you their products, or how politicians or NGO's are trying to get your attention. That's why psychology and neuroscience are vital.

Study programme

This Master's track will help you learn and hone skills to tackle important social issues using insights from the field of Brain and Cognitive Sciences. The curriculum focuses on how theoretical and methodological knowledge from the field of Brain and Cognition can contribute to tackle these issues. You will learn to set up applied experiments and translate empirical findings into practical advice, working on cases from real companies.
