Specific Career Events for Communication Science

Join us several times a year for the Communication Science on the Spot colloquium series, hosted by the Graduate School of Communication. In these sessions, a communication professional gets interviewed by a lecturer or researcher from the Graduate School. You're always encouraged to ask questions and join the discussion to spark a lively debate. Past speakers include Mirthe Enklaar (PepsiCo Benelux), Jutta Jakob (Newzoo), Belinda Borck (Tony's Chocolonely), and Ashley Vinson (Twitter).

We regularly arrange events and workshops called Career Matters to help you get ready for the job market. These workshops aim to equip you with practical, relevant skills that will boost your employability after graduation. Topics cover areas like online marketing, such as Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Google Analytics, or Social Advertising, as well as journalism, including writing effective press releases or journalistic blogs.

Your diploma is not a farewell

After graduating, you don't have to say goodbye to the University of Amsterdam! We are happy to help you develop your career. You can join the young alumni programme, which will assist you in mapping out your career. And as an alumnus, you can also still use the Student Careers Centre.
