International accreditation: EQUIS

EQUIS is an international accreditation awarded by the European Foundation of Management Development (EFMD). UvA Economics and Business is accredited by EQUIS since 2007. On a world-wide basis, only 167 Business Schools have obtained this prestigious accreditation.

Pocedure

The procedure followed is the same as that used for the national NVAO accreditations. In order to get accreditation, a self-assessment report has to be drawn up, following which an international committee visits the Faculty for further talks. Apart from critically reviewing the education and the research, the entire organisation is critically investigated as well.
