Who was/is your Role Model and why?

My Mother was my role model in many ways. When she returned in the Netherlands, early 70’s, as a single mother and no higher education, she took the work she could get. After a couple of years she was the woman at the highest position at a bank.

She was keeping all balls in the air.

I’m doing the same, but have always in mind that I need to enjoy life as well. In other words, keeping all the balls in the air but not at any cost.

What advice would give your 17 year old self, reflecting on your personal or professional  challenges, experiences or successes?

Work hard, play hard and motivate yourself. Don’t be so judgmental and give others a chance. Don’t always stand up when others don’t. Be patient.
