Who was/is your Role Model and why?

My role models are my mom and my sister for showing me what really matters (to me). I see my mom changing her students’ lives, by listening to them, by encouraging them to dream and by caring for them, especially when they don’t care so much about their own lives. She taught me that a simple smile, a hug and a listening ear can make someone’s day.

I turn to my sister when I look for courage. She is brave and decisive when it comes to the big decisions in her life. She inspires me to follow my heart.

What advice would give your 17 year old (or younger) self, reflecting on your personal or professional  challenges, experiences or successes?

Don’t be scared. You’re in control of your life and your future. Don’t let others decide what is right for you. Listen to your heart and follow it.
