Who was/is your Role Model and why?

I started my career 45 years ago in an accountancy firm; a real man's world. I didn't really have a role model back then. It was only later that I realised that women can mean a lot to each other and that we can learn a lot from each other. During the rest of my life and career, many women have been role models at some point. Varying from my daughter to colleagues and my dearest friends. I have learned a lot from several women around me and I am grateful for that.

What advice would you give your 17-year-old self, reflecting on your personal or professional  challenges, experiences or successes?

It's crucial for you to be yourself. Don't be tempted to be what others expect of you. The more you stay true to yourself, the greater your impact will be. And perhaps more importantly, it contributes to your self-awareness and sense of happiness.
