Klaas Hernamdt: programme lead

I have been programme manager of HVL since 2022. As a programme manager, I lead the Lab and the team and represent HVL both within and outside the university. Doing so, I put my passion for connecting art & culture with technology and entrepreneurship into practice. I believe that we need the collective power of critical minds and of creativity to help solve the burning question of our times.

Alexandra Purewal Delgado (she/her): business coach

I joined the Humanities Venture Lab in 2025 as a business coach, supporting entrepreneurs as they develop and grow their startups. My role is to help them navigate market challenges, access the right tools, and overcome the emotional barriers that often arise along the entrepreneurial journey. With expertise in the Amsterdam startup ecosystem, I connect founders with mentors, institutions, and resources that can accelerate their growth. In addition, I design and lead entrepreneurship programs for the Humanities Venture Lab and contribute to initiatives that highlight the value of the humanities. I am passionate about humanities-driven entrepreneurship and committed to making societal well-being a priority in innovation

Jacky Lie A Njoek (she/her): student assistant

In 2024, I joined the team as a student assistant, focusing on community and office management. Working at HVL offers me a fantastic opportunity to enhance the business environment for the humanities and to help bridge the gap between the two. As a Theatre Studies student, this role allows me to engage with these dynamics firsthand.

Tijmen ter Keurs (he/him): student assistant

Since April 2024, I have been working at HVL as a student assistant, focusing on community management and communication. It’s inspiring to be part of a community of entrepreneurs in the humanities. They show me how I can use my knowledge and perspective after completing my Art History studies to make a positive contribution.
