The College of Social Sciences is looking for excellent students who will finish their Bachelor’s degree with good results within three years. Applicants should have a strong interest in politics and a high level of English language proficiency. The ideal candidate is interested in the dynamic world of politics in all its aspects, including questions of conflict and war, social diversity, and the changing global economy. He or she aspires to become a well-informed, critical, socially engaged analyst, researcher, decision maker, activist or consultant, who makes a difference in the world we live in.
Choosing the right study programme will increase your chance of being successful in your studies. For this reason, UvA Matching is an essential part of your enrollment in a Bachelor’s programme. You will get acquainted with the programme before you really start studying. This way, you will check your choice for a certain study programme. Participation in UvA Matching is mandatory for all students.
After submitting your enrolment application in Studielink you will receive an email with your UvAnetID. You can use this to log in to the Enrolment Checklist, which is where you sign up for for UvA Matching.
If you have completed your prior education at a Dutch educational institution and/or you are residing in the Netherlands, you need to participate in the UvA Matching on-site: you will visit the campus and participate in lectures and seminars. Following your enrolment, you will receive an email regarding your application via the Enrolment Checklist. Here you have to register for UvA Matching.
On-site Matching will take place on June 9th 2020.
If you have completed your prior education and/or are residing abroad, you need to participate in the online UvA Matching. Online Matching will take place until 16 June 2020. More information will follow as soon as possible on the UvA website www.uva.nl.

As a prospective Political Science student you will receive information about your application via the Enrolment Checklist. Here you have to register for UvA Matching as soon as possible and before May 25. You can complete the Matching exam at any time you prefer, but on 16 June 2020 at the latest.

After completion of the Matching exam, you will receive your grade. Thereafter, you will receive your official personal (non-binding) matching advice on the basis of your test results.
