Amsterdam University College (AUC), a joint institute of the University of Amsterdam and VU Amsterdam. offers a top-quality, English-taught Bachelor's programme that crosses the boundaries of languages, cultures and academic disciplines.
As a Liberal Arts and Sciences programme, students choose to major in the Sciences, Social Sciences or Humanities. Within each of these majors are a variety of fields through which students gain expertise in more specific areas of knowledge. These fields of study make the programme cohesive and ensure students attain a certain level of expertise to proceed to Master’s programmes. Students think beyond traditional disciplines, and classes are focused on themes involving "big questions" in science and society that require knowledge from all three majors.
The three majors (Sciences, Social Sciences, Humanities) are at the top of the chart in bold, followed by the various fields of study within each major.
