At the Amsterdam Law School, students are offered an Experiential Education programme that is unique in the Netherlands. In the Amsterdam Law Practice (ALP), students apply their knowledge of the law to questions from actual practice.

Experiential Education

Our Experiential Education method inspires and motivates students to do research and increase their knowledge. Students learn by doing, and connect with society at large by working with fellow students towards the solution of social problems. Moreover, it offers them the opportunity to establish contacts in the professional field, a valuable prelude to a successful legal career.

In this Master's programme, the following courses are part of the Amsterdam Law Practice, our Experiential Education method:

  • International Criminal Law Practice
  • ICC moot court
  • Amsterdam International Law Clinic
  • Amsterdam Law Clinics
  • International Criminal Justice Practicum
