Do complex mathematical models of reality and chance thrill you? Do you wish to become a seasoned professional in risk management? Then the Quantitative Risk Management track is for you. This programme provides balanced and rigorous training in the financial and mathematical analysis of complex risk management and insurance issues. The MSc programme is unique in that it incorporates the latest international developments from fields such as financial and solvency risk management, regulation and supervision but also big data, market-consistent pricing and sustainability of pensions systems.
The Master's programme in Actuarial Science and Mathematical Finance diverges into two in-depth academic specialisation tracks:
Both tracks offer a common knowledge base in Actuarial Science & Mathematical Finance. The general track however is preferred by students who wish to prepare for the APC Post-master programme (in Dutch) to qualify for membership of the Royal Dutch Actuarial Society, because it offers ample space for electives that can be selected so as to meet the APC entry requirements.
The QRM track offers a slightly broader foundation in Actuarial Sciences & Mathematical Finance, featuring two extra required modules.
After successful completion of this programme, you will receive an accredited Master’s degree in Actuarial Science & Mathematical Finance, and the title Master of Science (MSc).
