During the programme, you will gain experience in planning and conducting investigations and communicating findings through investigative reports, interactive visualisations and digital archives. You will learn to work with diverse data types including satellite imagery, environmental datasets, and user-generated content, to investigate issues such as disinformation, armed conflict, environmental degradation, human rights violations, and threats to election integrity.

You will combine these practical and computational skills with a humanities-informed understanding of evidence, ethics and critical digital literacy. This combination prepares you to work across technical, investigative and societal contexts where digital information and evidence must be critically interpreted as well as analysed. Emerging roles include disinformation analysts, online fact-checking and Trust & Safety officers within tech companies.
