The minor Conflict Studies provides students with an interdisciplinary perspective that relates the analysis of local, national, international and transnational conflicts. It familiarises students with critical theoretical perspectives, the research of different faculty, and with approaches to analysing and addressing conflict.

This minor may serve as a good preparation for academic Bachelor’s students who want to apply for admission to the Master's programme in Conflict Resolution and Governance. Always check the entry requirements of the Master’s programme you are interested in.
The registration period for a minor in the academic year 2026-2027 is 1 April - 6 May 2026.
This minor has a limited number of places available. If the number of applicants exceeds the number of available spots, a lottery will be held. The time at which you apply within the specified period does not affect your chances of being accepted.
This minor is part of Bachelor's Interdisciplinaire sociale wetenschap. For your registration as an elective student, select the ‘Interdisciplinaire sociale wetenschap’ - elective degree programme in Studielink.
