The minor Political Psychology provides a unique perspective on various current political issues such as polarisation, radicalisation, populism, climate change and immigration. The programme focuses on how individuals - and their emotions, cognitions, values, beliefs, identities, group relations - change in a dynamic political context of power relations, political campaigns, social media and inequality.
The programme consists of courses from political science, psychology and communication studies, thus bringing together different disciplinary perspectives.
The minor Political Psychology can be a good preparation for one of the following Master's programmes: Political Science, Conflict Resolution and Governance, Research Master Social Sciences, Communication Science (regular master or onderzoeksmaster), and different master trajectories in Psychology.
