The UvA brand
-
Brand architecture
The University of Amsterdam uses a single master brand, comprising the symbol and the wordmark. This ensures everyone benefits from the UvA’s (international) brand recognition and reputation.
-
Partnerships
The UvA sometimes collaborates with other institutions. To determine which corporate identity applies in each situation (that of the UvA, that of a third party, or a possible joint corporate identity), a distinction has been made between four categories.
-
Public-facing and sponsor brands
A number of organisational units have permission to use an alternative visual identity. This applies to certain UvA units whose remit targets a different audience.
-
Rights
The logo was designed specifically for the UvA and may not be used freely. Only the UvA (and its organisational units) and institutions affiliated with the UvA may use the logo, or elements of it.
